Harvest Festival

Harvest Festival at the McAllister House Museum is an annual event which celebrates Fruit Culture in Colorado. The McAllister’s took a leading role in the experimentation with apples, grapes and strawberries right on their grounds on Cascade Street. They started as soon as they moved here and gathered data for 10 years. Their work is included in the publication “Fruit Culture in Colorado” by William Pabor. In this publication, Pabor brings together speeches, papers and reports that fruit growers had presented to their local horticulture and pomological meetings up and down the front range from Fort Collins to Pueblo.

McAllister House Museum’s Harvest Festival takes place every year on the 4th Saturday of September. In 2026, Harvest Fest will be on September 26th from 10am to 2pm. This year will be welcoming the Pikes Peak Jazz and Swing Society and local jazz guitarist Wayne Wilkinson and his trio to the Festival. Don’t miss it!
